HISTORY

General CWA history - 


Communications Workers of America Local 9510 has been in Orange County for over 30 years and continues to grow it's unit base, while other unions may be losing membership. CWA Local 9510 represents members from AT&T, AT&T Mobility, Avaya, Evoque, Frontier, Legacy T, SAUSD Substitute Teachers and Verizon. There has been a lot of changes in technology as of late that have given way to new options for consumers that have contributed to a downward slide in the need for maintenance and installation of these technologies. CWA 9510 is always working on educating their members and the public in the interest of reversing the overall downward trend of membership globally and to increase our social partnerships and awareness. We fight all our membership battles with the union heart and soul of every steward volunteer.

Peter O'Brien is of Irish orgin and has a tenacity for representation. He has worked hard as a leader in mobilizing, organizing and education. He is always around when you need him, so feel free to give him a call anytime you need a hand.

Kristy is a very devoted union activist and leader.  Her passion is to represent our members to the best of her ability.  As a treasurer, she commits to keep our local's finance secure.

Vice President AT&T Unit - Alfonso Ochoa

I've held many titles in AT&T - from Data Comm/DSL Tech, Testing Tech, C-Splicer, Prem Tech, MST and currently a Systems Tech.  I've been an active Steward for 13 years, Board Member, Finance Comm Chair, By-Laws Comm Chair, Chief Steward of IT in which I manage our website and all communication systems with the membership.  I want nothing but the BEST for OUR local and ALL its members.
